• Volunteering for wildlife protection in Borneo, Malaysia •
Embark on a wildlife safari to discover the flora and fauna of Borneo
Discover the local culture by living with the river people
For nature lovers
Detailed programme
The program takes place in Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. Borneo is a place of great biodiversity, but the regression of the tropical rainforest poses a threat to many plant and animal species.
That's why our partner, APE Malaysia, is developing programs to raise awareness of these problems and the means to solve them. The organization focuses on the conservation and improvement of animal welfare, both in captivity and in the wild.
As a volunteer, you'll help plant trees in the forests of Lower Kinabatangan, where flora and fauna are abundant but threatened by habitat loss. You'll be able to accompany the local community and observe orangutans, macaques, hornbills and other Borneo wildlife in their natural habitat.
