Detailed programme
The aim of the sanctuary is to collect all possible data and information from all these species in their wild environment on Cradle Mountain, using remote cameras, road kill surveys and contact with the local community and visitors of the sanctuary.
Educating and raising awareness among visitors is a major role of the sanctuary.
A staff member will give you a daily list of tasks to complete.
Some missions examples:
- Raising animals: cleaning pens, freshening up, replacing bedding, etc.
- Monitoring animals: observing their behaviour. Use of cameras with remote sensors.
- Modifying the environment: modifying and building enclosures.
- Preparing food: helping the keepers to feed the animals.
