The traditional national cooking in Nepal is inspired with neighboring countries and rather accessible and widespread.
Regional cooking is linked to a culture, the best known in Nepal is the Newar Culture with more than 200 recipes mostly spicy and only served in very local places.
Manika and her family are part of this Newar culture and pass on their recipes from generations. They invite you to take part in traditional cooking such as Nepali Dal Bhat set,different variety of MOMO, Newar food Bara, chatamadhi, Samay, Baji set, chapati set and many more.
You will be taken to the market by a member of Manika’s family to discover local products.
The cooking class will last from 2 to 3 hours. After the course you will share what you have cooked all together.

Bhaktapur, in Nepal.
Bhaktapur, known for its wood carving, is about 8 miles (13 km) from the capital city, Kathmandu and is at 1,401 meters above sea level. It is easily accessible by bus or taxi from the Nepalese capital.
