• Ecovolunteering with a Japanese family in Fukaya, Japan •
Japan as you have never seen it before!
Detailed programme
Although the city of Fukaya is surrounded by mountains and its surroundings are rich in biodiversity, it is part of Greater Tokyo, the most populous megalopolis in the world. It is a 50-minute train ride from Tokyo itself, and the family that will host you lives there. This family of farmers cultivates many fruits and vegetables. Rice, tomatoes, radishes, eggplants, spinach; strawberries, mandarins... and many others! Their house was built by the couple's husband, they have 3 children who now live elsewhere. The tasks will be varied and will depend on the season and the weather, but if you like farming, helping out and discovering the way of life of a Japanese rural family, this program is for you!
