Detailed programme
This workshop will teach you woodcarving, creating the object of your choice using local techniques (carved windows, doors, masks, mirror, frames, furniture, statues, boxes, wooden toys.)
You will be trained by a member of Manika’s family who also offers traditional cooking classes and guest house accommodation.
You can book a basic training of the activity to create a small object (about 2h / day) or go deeper into this art with an advance training (5h / day).

Bhaktapur, known for its wood carving, is about 8 miles (13 km) from the capital city, Kathmandu and is at 1,401 meters above sea level. It is easily accessible by bus or taxi from the Nepalese capital.
